I worked as an investigative reporter, news anchor and even executive producer and host of my own talk show. I was also a finalist in the search for a co-host with Regis Philbin appearing on the show twice when Kathie Lee left (and yes, he’s very nice). I’ve worked with some incredible people. We changed lives… even changed state laws.
Fate has always been my biggest ally. It was fate that got me in the news business, and I believe fate is responsible for bringing my passion for wine, food and travel to fruition. After 17 years at the same television news station, I am venturing off in a new and exciting direction. Now, this fabulous world… what I describe as the ‘real’ world outside the news bubble has unfolded. So c’mon—let’s continue to journey — together we’ll have a great time and discover some great wines and fun people along the way.

What a perfect weekend to spend a little time in the Texas Hill Country! Enjoy a fabulous lunch and shopping at the historic Camp Verde near Comfort or taste a variety of wines at the Boerne Wine Company on Main Street in Boerne. Guests can taste a number of fine wines by the taste, the half glass, or the glass.

Hatch-tastic Cheesy Pork Tenderloin
It’s free and it’s a ton a fun – The annual grape stomp at Becker Vineyards near Fredericksburg. There’s live music on the veranda and wine tastings in the grand tasting room at Becker. Plus, you can take home your grape stained and stomped t-shirt!

Grape Stomp Aug 17th at Dry Comal Creek
It’s harvest time in Texas and that means time for the annual grape stomps are our fun wineries. This Saturday check out the event at Dry Comal Creek near New Braunfels. Compete to see which couple can stomp the most juice! These are great, grape fun!
After the grape stomp, head to the Gristmill in Gruene for some fabulous grub! Their view high above the Guadalupe is stunning!

Great fun as always this weekend at the Pearl on Saturday mornings. Of course, the farmer’s market is still the biggest in town and now a fun new event. The Culinary Instiute’s wonderful restaurant Nao is now serving split-roasted pork tacos and beer for $5 on the plaza!
If you’re not a morning person, head to Nao Friday or Saturday for their happy hour from 5-7 for small plates beer and wine.
