I worked as an investigative reporter, news anchor and even executive producer and host of my own talk show. I was also a finalist in the search for a co-host with Regis Philbin appearing on the show twice when Kathie Lee left (and yes, he’s very nice). I’ve worked with some incredible people. We changed lives… even changed state laws.
Fate has always been my biggest ally. It was fate that got me in the news business, and I believe fate is responsible for bringing my passion for wine, food and travel to fruition. After 17 years at the same television news station, I am venturing off in a new and exciting direction. Now, this fabulous world… what I describe as the ‘real’ world outside the news bubble has unfolded. So c’mon—let’s continue to journey — together we’ll have a great time and discover some great wines and fun people along the way.
If you have a story idea, question about wine, restaurants or something else, please email me and tell me about it.
Weekend Preview: February 7th
This weekend is for lovers in the Texas Hill Country as the Teas Wine Lovers Trail kicks off. Most of the vineyards along Highway 290 will be celebrating the season with special chocolate and wine pairings. This weekend Becker vineyards is offering delicious dark chocolate cake balls to pair with their red wines – Merlot anyone?
And if you’re heading out to the rodeo this weekend be sure to stop by the Wine Garden where you can taste the winning wines of the wine competition. It’s a fun place to hang out either before or after the show.
Have a great weekend everyone!
