I worked as an investigative reporter, news anchor and even executive producer and host of my own talk show. I was also a finalist in the search for a co-host with Regis Philbin appearing on the show twice when Kathie Lee left (and yes, he’s very nice). I’ve worked with some incredible people. We changed lives… even changed state laws.
Fate has always been my biggest ally. It was fate that got me in the news business, and I believe fate is responsible for bringing my passion for wine, food and travel to fruition. After 17 years at the same television news station, I am venturing off in a new and exciting direction. Now, this fabulous world… what I describe as the ‘real’ world outside the news bubble has unfolded. So c’mon—let’s continue to journey — together we’ll have a great time and discover some great wines and fun people along the way.

The timing couldn't be better for the weekend! Just when the dog days of summer seem endless, along comes another dose of heat. This one though is celebrated, even welcomed by foodies in the know-Hatch chile season!
There's nothing like the aroma of these flame roasted chile peppers and you'll find plenty of them at H-E-B stores all month long. I've got a great recipe from Cooking Connections there for a super simple fish dish with a delicious Hatch chile sauce at Goodtaste.tv....also some wines that pair perfectly.
