This is a beautiful time of year to visit some Hill Country wineries. The grapes are ripening on the vine and a beautiful site to see. There are tons of wineries in our area, and one of my favorite trails is right along 290 between Fredericksburg and Johnson City. You can make a weekend of it by staying at the charming Cotton Gin Village in Fredericksburg and exploring the region from there. Plus, dinner at the Cabernet Grill, the on site restaurant, is always fabulous and they feature Texas best wines.
