Hit the hills for the holiday weekend!  The Texas hills. There are some beautiful spots near Comfort that wine lovers will enjoy.  The Bending Branch Winery, known for its heart healthy Tannat wines will have live music from 2-5 Saturday along with wine tasting.  You can see more about Bending Branch on Goodtaste.tv

Then, head for Camp Verde, a beautiful historical site just up the road that was once home to nearly a hundred camels …true!  Great shopping here and the restaurant is fantastic!  Be sure to try their homemade desserts.

It’s all about Mom this weekend!  Some great picks for lunch on Mother’s Day – The Creek in Boerne…the setting is gorgeous and the food is wonderful! For a true San Antonio experience – Boudro’s on the River Walk rocks.

Lots to do this weekend in San Antonio.

For starters, the fabulous Pearl Farmer’s market is Saturday from 9-1 and also at the Granary at Pearl there’s a fun pet adoption event called Pints 4 Paws.  Not only can you find a cuddly new companion, but for every beer sold, the Granary will donate a dollar to San Antonio Pets Alive!

On Sunday why not celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Aldaco’s Stone Oak will feature $5 margaritas, $5 tacos al pastor and $5 tres leches cake! Patio time at Aldaco’s.

Hi Everyone and Viva Fiesta!

Some tried and true classics this weekend – Friday is the beautiful Battle of Flowers parade.  If you can’t make it downtown you can watch it on KSAT TV.

Saturday is the Fiesta Pooch Parade at the Alamo Heights Swimming pool…be sure to bring your camera to this one.

And Saturday is also the day for the fun, colorful King William Fair and Parade.

Talk about goodtaste, the Taste of New Orleans starts Friday over at the Sunken Garden Theater…love the crawfish etouffé and the live jazz music.

Saturday and Sunday is the Fiesta Arts Fair at the Southwest School of Art.  There are some amazingly talented artists at this one selling their beautiful creations…it’s always a wonderful afternoon.

Weekend Preview: April 13 & April 14

It’s patio weather!  I know the perfect patio—The Creek restaurant in Boerne sits right along the banks of Cibolo Creek and the new Boerne Mile Creek Walk.  The food is wonderful and it’s beautiful to see the many ducks and geese playing in the water.  That’s the Creek Restaurant.

Hi everyone, this is Tanji Patton for Q101.9’s Weekend Preview….up for an Easter egg hunt anyone?  Saturday Boerne is hosting its seventh annual easter egg hunt at City Lake Park there for kids of all ages…you can get more info online.

Also on Saturday is Culinaria’s 5k wine and beer run…the 3.1 mile ocurse starts at the shops at La Cantera jaunts along the hills there nearby.
