Essential Job Funcations:

Clear Channel Media & Entertainment in San Antonio is looking for an experienced Commercial Traffic Director for its Traffic team. We are looking for a key contributor who has strong analytical skills to join this unique, fast-paced organization. As part of the Commercial Operations team, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing our station's commerial logs as well as managing all station's Networks. The role is a balance of utilizing emerging technology, applying revenue maximizing strategy, and providing unsurpassed customer service. 

Job Requirements

Specific responsibilities include: - Traffic and manage terrestrial and stream logs, review/approve new orders, process order revisions, and handle weekly Network spot loads. - Perform daily sell out analysis and inventory optimizations. - Generate daily commercial logs and distribute necessary inventory and ad campaign reports. - Be on point to troubleshoot any campaign/creative issues that affect tracking, implementation, or reporting. - Liaise with sales, account management, production, on air staff and business management teams on all issues relating to campaign delivery/performance, commercial spots and order entry. - Work with internal product teams on system/tool enhancements. 

Education Requirements

BA/ BS preferred - Must be detail oriented. - Exceptional organizational skills. - Strong computer skills. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Previous experience in ad sales and/or traffic management. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced, rapidly-changing environment.

Clear Channel Radio San Antonio has an opening for the position of Engineering Assistant.

Essential Job Functions: 

Assist engineering manager in the day to day operations and maintenance broadcast equipment, office electronics, and information technologies which support the day to day operations of this radio station cluster.

Key Tasks: 

  • Routine inspection and maintenance of cluster transmitting equipment and transmitter sites.   (May include some general maintenance of site including plumbing, grounds keeping, and electrical repair).
  • Review trouble reports, perform or schedule maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Assist in the maintenance of cluster Informational Technologies.
  • Assist in review of EAS logs
  • Assist in completion of weekly engineering reports.
  • Assist in completion on year capital budget requests.
  • Assist in completion of yearly operational budget.
  • 24/7 accountability for emergency repair and occasional equipment maintenance or installation, including a rotating 24/7 on-call system
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Requirements: Must be well versed in basic electronic theory and FCC Rules and Regulations.  Two years of prior experience with broadcast transmitters and broadcast studio equipment.  Broadcast automation experience, Prophet Systems NexGen experience recommended, but not required.  SBE certification, FCC License, and IT certifications are recommended but not required.

Description:

  • Manage the development and execution of station promotions, community affairs efforts and assist in the development of station event marketing opportunities
  • Responsible for enhancing station image and visibility within the community that will attract listeners and clients
  • Act as liaison between programming, and sales to develop overall station campaigns, themes and marketing approaches
  • Develop revenue-generating promotions that cross promote clients and third parties
  • Act as a leader within the department, interfacing with promotion personnel
  • Provide creative influence that creates visibility and publicity within the market, which will create buzz and talk about the station
  • Implement grass roots marketing efforts at the local level

 Some Specific responsibilities and functions include:

  • Supervises station contests and on-air implementation
  • Day to day management within the promotions department including policies, procedures, staffing
  • Represent stations at community events
  • Act as community liaison with community corporate entities
  • Coordinate activities of other departments involved in production of promotions and remotes, attend remotes as needed
  • Work with vendors in ordering promotional material
  • Create and develop promotional campaigns to generate revenue and ratings opportunities for station
  • Oversees and manages station promotion budget
  • Develops and maintains relationships with the press and other media
  • Oversee on-air contesting, on-site client promotions, station events and website promotion
  • Create client proposals and promotional concepts congruent with station image and strategies
  • Write promotional spots and traffic orders
  • Manage/write client based promotional recaps
  • Update website content regularly
  • Liaison daily between sales and programming departments
  • Provide technical assistance for on-site remotes/appearances
  • Attend and conduct weekly sales/promotions and programming meetings
  • Collaborate with retail outlets, promoters, and community organizations
  • Meet day to day deadlines

Position Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in promotions, marketing, radio or related industry.
  • Sports radio/broadcast experience a plus
  • Proven understanding of digital marketing-promotion and utilization of social networking
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Candidates must also have valid driver’s license.
  • Must also be willing to work flexible hours and weekends. Some heavy lifting is also required for this position.

Essential job Functions:
- Lead public communications from all station Facebook, Twritter and other social media accounts.

- Educate others in-house on the benefits of social media; act as a social media evangelist
- Recommend content for social media posting to program directors and on-air personalities for all stations.
- Provide social media solution apps, embedding, driving traffic and harvesting friends & followers.
-Work with digital program director, station program directors and promotions to update, create and post new website content.
- Aggressively suggest and solicit new content and contesting opportunities for assigned stations.
- Act as a back-up to other coordinators on site administration duties.

Skills: Basic HTML, CMS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, FBML, SEO best practices. Experience working with social media, if not professionally than to a high degree in your personal life. Experience with Flash or video is useful. We are looking for an individual with strong knowledge of pop culture and current events that is relevant to our audiences, a rising star who can handle organizing volumes of requests, work resoucefully to find out spur of the moment solutions, the ability to work quickly and shift gears at a moment's notice to capitalize on traffic opportunities.

Education Requirements: Minimum high school diploma. Some college experience a plus.
