I am very big into family, and I have a big family as well. 5 brothers and sisters (I'm the 5th of 6). 13 nieces and nephews (it's about to be 14 because yet another one is due in October!). 5 great-nephews & 5 great-nieces. And no, with that many family members, I do not keep up with birthdays very well. Even with a master list on my fridge.
I'm also married. My husband and I got married here in San Antonio at the historic Sheraton Gunter Hotel downtown. And we are the proud parents of a 9 year old Alaskan Husky named Moo and three 1 year old kittens, Wicket, Willow, and Winter.
Like all Texas moms, I made my kid pose in the bluebonnets.
These foolproof styles work every time, for any body type and occasion.
Slenderize with fine-textured knits that skim trouble spots but still show your shape. Highlight the thinnest part of your torso — right below the bust — with a single strategically placed button (camel cardigan, left). Choose a V-neck with body-conscious ribbing where you want attention and a generous hemline where you don't (gray V-neck, middle). Select a cardigan that is part shawl, part sweater and artfully drapes around a problematic midsection (red option, right).
Wear pants in a heavier fabric like wool gabardine or cotton twill. These materials drape in a flattering way.
A Versatile Top-and-Bottom Combo
A short-sleeve crew-neck sweater paired with an A-line skirt slims your silhouette and creates a feminine look that works whether you're at the office or going out on a dinner date.
Distract with Details
An interesting neckline (like this ruffled one) draws the eye away from your hips and tummy.
