Argentinean rock act Rio Verde was formed in the early '90s by singer Daniel Ferreyra, bassist José Sposaro, guitarist Willy Keegan, drummer Fernando Vasquez, and guitarist Christian Vogliotti. The band started playing covers of American and British contemporary folk and hard rock numbers, translating the lyrics to Spanish, and later added original songs to their repertory. After a temporary breakup, Rio Verde was reunited in 1995. Two years later, Javier Abeledo became the group's new guitar player.
